Hazardous & Perishable Cargo Handling
Handling and shipping hazardous and perishable cargo have been the trademark of Skylift, making up almost 50% of our total cargo volume. Moving hazardous & perishable cargo requires a specialist skill set. With a group of dedicated personnel, who receive regular training in the various restrictions & regulations governing this special segment of cargo, our clients can be assured and have peace of mind when they place their goods under our care.
AOG Shipment Handling (24-hour standby)
Our Aircraft-on-Ground (AOG) service caters specifically to the booming Aerospace Industry in Singapore. Time is of the essence for AOG shipments as every minute loss due to a grounded aircraft leads to both tangible and intangible losses. Understanding the urgency of such time-sensitive shipments is critical in ensuring that the parts get delivered to the aircraft through the fastest and most reliable service. In Skylift, our round-the-clock team of AOG specialists is constantly hands-on when dealing with such parts of extreme urgency.
Project and Odd Sized (OOG) Handling
The intricacies of handling heavy and out-of-gauge freight require know-how and an eye for detail. Our team of project specialists has had the opportunity to handle heavy lift projects such as helicopters, subsea equipment, and heavy wafer fab machinery, to name a few. Acute knowledge, along with good foresight are key characteristics that our specialists are equipped with to ensure the successful handling of such cargo in nature.
Warehousing, Logistics & Distribution
To meet the customers’ growing demand for outsourcing warehousing, 3PL services, and distribution, Skylift invested in 3 warehouses, totaling 104,251sqf, and 6,355 pallet positions since 2008. In July of 2022, we officially opened our cold room storage facility, catering 288 pallets to our chiller section, and 388 pallets to frozen. This investment opened the opportunity for us to offer more diverse services and expand our client base to include those in the Food and Beverage industry, an essential industry in Singapore that is well known for its culinary wonders. With our warehouses serving as a distribution hub, we will also be able to provide island-wide deliveries as a holistic package to meet all your warehousing and distribution needs.
